Aquamarine Guide
Aquamarine is the pale blue to blue-green variety of beryl, the same mineral family as emerald and morganite. It scores 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale and is often very clean, which lets its colour show clearly.
Colour
Aquamarine ranges from a light sea blue to a deeper blue. Deeper, more saturated colour is generally more sought after, but the right shade is a matter of taste.
Birthstone
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March.
Care
Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and take care with hard knocks, especially in rings.
